The Athens excursion and the Acropolis Entry tickets are sold separately.
Entry tickets to the Acropolis are timed. For this reason, I must buy a block of tickets to ensure my group can all enter at the same time. If you plan to climb the Acropolis to view the Parthenon up close, you will need to buy the Acropolis ticket through the link above. It is not mandatory to purchase the Acropolis ticket with the excursion. You can view the Parthenon from a distance without the entry ticket. These must be purchased at the same time you purchase the excursion. You CANNOT purchase the Acropolis ticket without the Athens excursion. I must purchase the Acropolis tickets well in advance of the cruise because time slots sell out. These tickets are non-refundable once purchased from my website. In the unlikely event that the ship does not dock, or the port days are switched, I am not able to refund your Acropolis ticket(s) because they are non-refundable.

EXCURSION DESCRIPTION
Get set for an amazing day as we explore the top highlights of Athens in a private bus on this full day tour. We will start the day with the port pick-up and head to the hill of Acropolis. On the historical hill, you will have the opportunity to stroll freely (entrance fee not included and no guide provided at the Acropolis).
After the Acropolis, we will head past the Temple of Zeus. We will visit Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896 (we stop for photos, but will not enter). Next we will drive alongside the National Garden and see the changing of the guard in front of the old palace, which is today Parliament House.
Our driver will take us to the Plaka neighborhood with narrow cobblestone streets lined with tiny shops selling jewelry, clothes, local ceramics and numerous Greek taverns serving authentic Greek dishes to grab lunch. You will have plenty free time in the Plaka to relax, eat and shop (lunch is not included). After lunch, we will make our way back to the ship.

The cost of the the ticket to enter the Acropolis and other archaeological sites is not included in this excursion price. YOU MUST add the Acropolis entry ticket to your purchase if you want to climb the Acropolis to view the Parthenon up close. There is NOT an option to add the ticket on at a later date. DO NOT buy the tickets independently, as they are sold in time slots and we must all enter together.

The order of the stops may vary, and this excursion will happen rain or shine, so please come prepared for the day.

Wear cool, lightweight clothes and comfortable walking shoes.

Bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, sunhat, and water bottle. Consider bringing an umbrella for shade.

Bring your camera/device fully charged and consider bringing a portable battery, as access to outlets for recharging cannot be guaranteed.
